EPOS – European Plate Observing system
We are looking for three IT technician profiles to contribute to the development of an innovative European research infrastructure aimed at integrating data from the solid Earth sciences (https://www.epos-eu.org/). Integration takes place through the EPOS Data Portal, a platform that allows users to search, download, and analyze data from scientific communities through a single map-based web interface using geolocated data.
The contract duration is one year, renewable if the collaboration is successful. The position will be classified under the professional profile of Collaboratore Tecnico Enti di Ricerca (level VI).
Work location: Rome.
Salary
The annual gross salary for CTER level VI positions is governed by the current national contract and is approximately 31,000 euros gross per year. The net amount obviously depends on the candidate’s fiscal situation, but it is indicatively around 1,500 euros net per month.
Requirements
The call is open to candidates with a high-school diploma, and graduates are also welcome. The required skills include one or more of the following:
- software development using Java for web-oriented applications;
- use of versioning systems, for example GitLab and Continuous Integration;
- design, creation, and management of relational databases;
- knowledge of the main non-relational databases;
- use of Unix-like systems;
- use of the main software development tools, for example Eclipse and Visual Studio.
